HEI has an opening for a full-time Manufacturing Manager in their Victoria, MN manufacturing facility. He/she will report to the Vice President of the Microelectronics Operations. The ideal candidate will have already demonstrated the ability to lead a manufacturing organization and has the passion to use that experience to achieve manufacturing excellence. This position will partner with the leadership team in translating business strategy into action that drives excellent business results in the Microelectronics division.
 
Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
·          Acts as a focal point to share, promote and facilitate best practice throughout the manufacturing organization
·          Accountable for the delivery of product, meeting firm plan revenue goals and assuring the organization can effectively support our customer’s requirements
·          Provides vision and leadership for the practical implementation of modern manufacturing methods based on best use
·          Owns the processes that ensure the delivery of high quality cost-effective products to our customers per our established commitment
·          Analyzes the manufacturing demand to develop the staffing and equipment resources necessary to meet the output requirements
·          Drives the discipline and adherence to the quality system and procedural requirements within the manufacturing organization
·          Support and foster an environment of continuous improvement by encouraging the staff to challenge existing processes and implement solutions that enhance the overall effectiveness of the operation
·          Provides support for ensuring, improving and maintaining department’s compliance to GMP and Quality System regulations ISO QSR, and AS 9100 requirements as defined by Senior management  
·          Responsible for timely closure of non-conformances and supporting continuous quality system improvements
·          Identify, recommend and implement changes to improve throughput, quality and rework reduction
·          Develop and shape the culture of the manufacturing organization to match the strategy of Senior management
·          Develop challenging operational goals which are tied with the company’s defined targets
·          Develop and execute cost savings initiatives
·          Manage and control departmental expenditures within the agreed upon budget
·          Contribute to the evaluation and development of operational strategies
·          Interact with customers on an as required basis 
 
Qualifications/Skills:
·          Strong knowledge of modern manufacturing methods used in a continuous improvement environment (Lean, Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints). Must have proven experience introducing and implementing new operational methods and processes while meeting financial goals in conjunction with business growth and customer needs
·          Must understand the principles of DFM, Reliability and Testing protocols
·          Knowledge of budgeting and a clear understanding of the cost structures within a manufacturing environment
·          Proven experience and success in a high mix manufacturing environment
·          Ability to use an MRP/ERP system to plan and manage the production floor, if required
·          Background must include frequent and demonstrated interaction with customers in a variety of settings  
·          Proven leadership skills
·          Skilled in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policies, developing and implementing new procedures/strategies
·          Demonstrated ability to execute projects in a team focused environment
·          Must be able to make quick, accurate and precise decisions
·          Must be able to select, develop, motivate and organize staff. This includes mentoring and modeling of behavior with the ability to assess employee’s strengths and weaknesses; leverage the strengths and develop growth plans to mitigate the weaknesses.
·          Superior oral and written communication skills. Also must be a good listener with the ability to follow-up on activities and multi-task.
·          Strong interpersonal skills to efficiently interface with a diverse team
·          Ability to express facts and ideas, both verbally and in writing, in a clear, convincing and organized manner
·          Must be able to maintain confidences and use discretion
·          Must be a creative problem-solver with a track record of achieving results both personally and through teams
·          Experience in a rapid growth environment

Background and Education:
·          Bachelor’s degree with APICS certification a plus
·          Minimum 3-5 years management experience in an electronics manufacturing environment
 
Work Environment:
·          Uses computer and mouse frequently
·          Clean room environment
·          Moderate noise level
·          ESD sensitive
·          May be required to work with chemicals
·          Office
·          Minimal noise level
