Sales Representative

Position available in the Phoenix Area.

 

Reports to:

Division General Manager – Reporting to the CEO, our Division General Managers are the top positions in our operating divisions and are responsible for the sales activities for our operations.  There are currently three operating divisions for HEI.  Each operating division offers a unique vertically integrated sales opportunity enabling you to sell one or all three of our divisions’ offerings.  In addition, we offer Scrum-based product development and fully automated testing services for all three divisions’ and their customers.

 

Job Objective:

A sales representative for HEI will be driven to succeed.  Our sales representatives are individual sales contributors and are an integral part of our sales team accountable to continually improve and refine our processes to accelerate our sales results.  Our base compensation and benefits package is competitive, and our sales incentive plan is particularly lucrative for results- oriented individuals.  Our sales representatives are responsible for all sales activities from lead generation, qualifying, pursuit to closing of business.  Sales representatives will work with the General Manager and the sales support team to ensure customer satisfaction, revenue generation and achievement of long-term account development goals consistent with our vision, mission and core values. 

 

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Ability to Prospect – demonstrated ability to identify and qualify potential buyers for our services and products.
  • Product Knowledge – Specific industry or related industry experience and technical knowledge is beneficial.  Successful candidates will be trained on what is unique to HEI.
  • Relationship Building – demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong customer relationships.   Research, communication and follow-up are critically important components of the relationship building process.
  • Negotiating/Securing the Order – demonstrated ability to ask for the order and willingness to work with customers to clearly establish their wants and needs and make those fit the HEI offerings.  Our sales representatives are not “hard closers”.  Rather they are successful sales professionals who understand that strategic selling requires helping the customer buy what we offer.
  • Problem Solving – Our sales process revolves around high quality listening skills.  The willingness and demonstrated ability to listen to a customer’s problem fully before presenting a solution is a critical success factor for our sales representatives.
  • Results Driven – Our success is directly tied to the success of our sales representatives.  We are seeking results driven sales professionals who are strongly motivated to succeed.
  • Reporting – demonstrated ability to communicate on a timely basis and follow structured sales processes and procedures.  Successful candidates will possess effective verbal and written communication skills.   Our sales representatives are responsive in their communications so as to ensure superior speed and responsiveness for our customers.
  • Time Management and Flexibility – demonstrated ability to manage   time in order to maximize sales-time every day.  Our sales representatives must be flexible in their scheduling to be certain to accommodate our customers’ needs.

 

Location Specific Offerings: 
  • Our operating divisions offer a complete suite of services from product design using our Scrum-based development process, to engineering services, to design for manufacturing, process improvement, prototyping, initial manufacturing and full scale manufacturing of our customer’s products.
  • Our Victoria Minnesota operation specializes in ultra-miniature microelectronic assemblies and test development.
  • Our Tempe Arizona operation specializes in complex flex and rigid/flex substrates.
  • Our Boulder Colorado operation specializes in the design, development, manufacturing and service of complex electro-mechanical medical devices.
 
Job Specifications:
  • A minimum of 4 years of sales experience in complex product sales is required – industry experience is a benefit but is not required.
  • Experience with the Miller Heimen Strategic Selling Processes or another strategic selling process preferred.   At HEI, we are process driven and our objective is to train you quickly on using the HEI sales process that builds on the Miller Heimen system.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve sales quotas as part of a consistently successful professional sales track record.
  • Willingness to travel - our sales professionals travel a minimum of 50% of their time.
