We developed a lone of low-cost, laminate-based MMIC chip carriers for frequencies to 50GHz and beyond. This is the first package to provide the functionality of a pick-and-place component while maintaining a nearly electrically transparent broadband platform. The result is an SMT package with performance that meets or exceeds the response achieved by direct attach methods, with the low-cost manufacturability that only SMY can provide.
